Here is the crash log as requested
I'm still getting paused at startup. Also seems to be a longer if not indefinite pause as of 13w41a.
Also I'm using a Radeon Graphics card.
Video card on affected machine is RADEON HD4670 running the open source driver.
Also getting the same problem using OpenJDK Icetea 2.3.10 (64 bit) on ubuntu 12.04.2
Same problem with one of the cores running 100% for a long time until I manually kill the process.
Hangs at the same place in the logs, just before the normal realm check.
No problems running the w37 snapshots a/b
I had the same problem on ubuntu 12.04 running an Radeon graphics card using the default open-source graphics driver.
I switched to the ati/amd fglrx driver and can now play the latest snapshots and the 1.7 pre-release.
Not much help for the intel graphics card users I'm afraid.
