I think I know what you mean but that's probably a different bug

they fixed it a while ago but for the 1.9 beta, probably not for stable version then

I currently have 1.9.0.3 and it hasn't happened to me for a looong time

oh god I just tried it out and it seems like it worked, I spammed the screen and not a single sudden turn. Thank you SO MUCH

Edit: tried it on 2 of my devices that had this issue and it's fixed on both

I also tried to find a way to trigger it and while I can't 100% always get it, I've found that when you simply spam taps on the screen (especially in the center part), you can EASILY get it to work, without having to touch even near the buttons

I've had this bug literally for years, on my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, LG Nexus 5X and now on my Nokia 8, glad to see they are finally trying to fix it... unfortunately the recent update didn't fix it, just like the above comment says
