I am fast reaching the conclusion that this is intentional.

I think the old subscription model (manually extend for 30 or 180 days) is gone/going in favour of the "opt out" auto renew subscription with the Microsoft Store directly.  Mojang probably had no suitable way of enabling the 30/180 day sub through the MS Store, so it will just fizzle out as and when our Realms expire. Besides, IOS and Android have had auto-recurring subs for awhile now, the MC App and Microsoft were the last to enable it.

Could have done with some communication on this.

Update: I now have 2 Realms listed in MC.  My original (expiring) Mojang/MC App bought one AND the Microsoft Store 'purchased' (also in MC when EXTENDING) one, which renews every 30 days.

Realms as a whole seems to be having severe issues, I can't even download my realm world and upload it to the new "forced" Microsoft Realm.

Some communication from Mojang/Microsoft would be nice.

I used the Extend option this morning.  Setup a new recurring sub with the Microsoft Store.

But my Realm is still showing 3 days remaining.  I did send a support ticket to Mojang Account Support.

Spoke too soon. Got home and it's not working. Only thing that's changed is my network access point!! Will try the beta. /sigh

My 1.2.3.6 version suddenly allowed me back in. I have not tried the beta build. Thank you for the fix.
