i have tried with the 1.8pre-release (so before 1.8 and 1.8.1) and there was not any problem.

i have tested 20 times because i wanted to make a deep ocean customized world but there is always this problem.
make deep ocean world (without water to see the bug) and that's it.

the bug was resolved to take mipmap level to 0 🙂
