It has happened to me in singleplayer, but with anvils and it's consistant, though it was supposed to be an anvil replacing machine the way everything was powered made me see this bug.
It would be the same in Windows 8, I am pretty sure.
do f3+B i think and find a pig and attack the white box near it. f3+B shows hitboxes.
Yeah, i was messing with that in command blocks and i got it to teleport to y=999999999, and i needed to wait like 15 minutes to fall down... in 1.6.4 java 8 using command blocks
