Zgajak That's normal it got fixed lmao
Let's go it got fixed in 2.3.500
Thanks
@unknown Idk why your launcher rolledback but mine didn't, it's still in 2.3.481 and I still have this issue
Thinking of this, it would be cool if it was possible to set the Java path globally to Java 8 and 17, I wonder if there is a feedback, i'll look for it
If everyone is wondering, there is a ticket in the feedback website there https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360078155412-Sheep-to-keep-their-colour-onced-sheared-in-Java-just-like-bedrock
Mojang, this issue have been there for so long and you make Bedrock Parity fixes for Java quite rarely, you do, but there is not a lot compared to what could be added from Bedrock to Java
But please at least consider this fix for Java, it’s been there for so long and that’s a small fix (I think)
Hi I come back because I don't understand something with the skins before Minecraft 1.3 and before
In the article it says that the skins can no longer be changed on these old versions (it's because the skin server has changed I know), but it's perfectly possible to do so
When you launch these versions, the LegacyLauncher or the launchwrapper is used to be able to launch them correctly, it allows you to modify the behavior of the game without really modifying it (I think I'm explaining badly)
But it is perfectly possible to modify the LegacyLauncher so that it can provide the skins to the game, and I managed to do it
I made a fork of the LegacyLauncher available here (it's a fork that fixes another fork that has already been created to fix this problem, you can see it on GitHub)
And as you can see on the screenshot, I managed to change my skin on Minecraft 1.0 while "it's not possible" (and it's not modded), just with a few lines of code added to the LegacyLauncher
So, please, is it possible that one day we can officially have the skins back on the Legacy versions of Minecraft ?
But for this subject, am I in the wrong place ? do I need to move to an MCL issue ?
There are missing Minecraft versions
In this case, there is no "Snapshot 1.2" while there is a "Snapshot 1.3", while the "Snapshot 1.2" (which is a prerelease of Minecraft 1.2.1) is available on this link https: //assets.minecraft.net/1_2/minecraft.jar , on Mojang servers
I actually found that many Snapshots/Prereleases were missing from the launcher while they were on Mojang servers, e.g.
Snapshots/Prereleases of Minecraft 1.0 like Beta 1.9 Prerelease 1 or Beta 1.9 Prerelease 6
Snapshots of Minecraft 1.1 like as Snapshot 11w47a
Snapshots/Prereleases of Minecraft 1.2.1 like Snapshot 12w03a or Prerelease 1.2
Snapshots of Minecraft 1.3 like Snapshot 12w15a (Prereleases Minecraft 1.3 is already available in the launcher)
And they are all available on Mojang servers, but not in the launcher
I found it weird and that's why I'm here
I know there are missing versions of Minecraft (even if some have been found) but these are not missing, they are on Mojang servers, they are missing only on the launcher
Hi, idk if this issue continues to be taken into account but I found an old issue here https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/WEB-1429 talking about the old authentification servers being shut down, but these old servers is what makes the skins not working in legacy version of Minecraft
But in this page there is a not from your team saying "We are looking to to re-introduce these endpoints so you can enjoy older version of Minecraft: Java Edition. The team will look into this during October-December 2022."
So if these endpoints are reintroduced the skins will be back on legacy versions of Minecraft ? Do you have any infos about that pls ?
