Confirmed. Here's what I did:

1. Type: "/summon EntityHorse ~ ~ ~20 {SkeletonTrap:1b}"
2. Approach the horse. Lightning strikes and three to four skeleton horses with skeleton riders spawn.
3. Get shot to death by the skeletons and respawn.
4. Skeleton horses and skeletons are invisible but still shoot you.

Now we have got that sorted.

Great for use in capture the flag!

In fact, it is a command block only thing. You can't do it in survival, unfortunately.
