Sorry for long response time. I was in creative when I tested this, I think I might have tested survival but can't remember for sure, but it also occurred on my server. Again I was in creative but other players were not. The server is run through server miner and is fabric but also tested in vanilla and same outcome. I haven't tested again recently but should be able to in the next few days and will give an update then.

Any news so far?

Uploaded a new world with same setup to have smaller file size. Dolphin still deletes items the same in new world. Tried making command block setup to summon items automatically but the summoned items didn't get deleted.

To reproduce, build the setup in the screenshot and drop stacks of an item into the water, I was testing with 2 rows of a 64 stackable item type.
