It is still occuring.

Tried an uninstall/reinstall again (just in case), and still:

Crash.

I included the task manager in the capture so you could see the process start and fail.

I have responded 3 times via email and this has not reopened. Should I attach the video here?

Further details: Updated my graphics driver, and I got to a screen wanting to confirm my render distance. The dialog froze. I restarted Minecraft and Iā€™m back to it failing at 97%.
