YESSSS!!!! It's really fixed. Thanks so much.
hallelujah..cheers.
Yep... Exact same problem.
Nooooo 😞
Still broken 1307a :darn:
Still happening 13w06a
nope. not worth it. Thanks anyway. urgh. oh. well. I have some tnt left... might as well go out with a bang...
No, didn't do mc edit. Too scared. Just went back to 1.4.7 and as I said, all new chuck error - slap bang in the middle of my base wiping out everything valuable... The weirdest part is that it has generated new stuff underground but cut out anything above ground. Anyway. That is that. Just seeing when I last backed-up my hard disk... hopefully won't have lost too much...
Don't know what I just did... but I've really done it now. I went back to 1.4.7 and it's generated a giant block of stone and abandoned mineshaft in the middle of my base destroying ALL my storage area... and above it sliced my grinder in half.
Oh well... Goodbye world
I have a horrible feeling that the offending 'unused shrub' is tucked away in random chest in my main storage area and it'll be hard to edit out. I'll give it a go if that is what worked for you - though I bet i end up deleting half my world by accident. Anyway. Thanks.
😞
It hasn't been fixed. Please, someone help me...
Don't suppose you know if this is fixed in new snapshot?
Oh no! 😞 I'm still stuck living in the nether then. Getting a little low on food...
Sorry, before I head off for the night - as John says above it seems only to affect particular maps/world locations? I only have a problem in my main world. No problems on some other old ones. No problems on new maps I'm generating either. Cheers.

Well, I managed to make it to my portal after logging in and out after about 12 crashes. I guess I'll see if I can survive here until the next snapshot...
Ok, thanks very much for your help. Appreciated. Cheers.
I did have 2 versions of Java installed. Who would have thought it.
It's not that though, unfortunately.
Hi this is getting pretty ridiculous now. Waits of more than 10 minutes to even load. What gives?
