I have tried to upgrade to the next minor release of .71 and still have the issue.
Its still kicking people out of minecraft
PC Java player here.
I first became aware of this issue when I was watching Ilmango's gold farm tutorial. Some dudes in the comments section were saying that the pigmen would stop spawning after a short while, and they would have to travel a good distance away from the farm and then return to it for the pigmen to spawn again for a short while.
I'd really like to build a gold farm and a proper mob farm, but I'm hesitant to waste my time if it isn't going to work. You guys get it; you're in the same boat.
The slime farm and iron farm I built both work perfectly. The entities spawn normally with no seemingly abnormal lapses between spawns. I mention this because it baffles me a bit that certain mobs are spawning normally, while others aren't.
Figured I'd chime in and add to the discussion so we can get something done about this. If enough people are vocal about this issue, we have a better shot at it getting fixed sooner rather than later. As I'm sure many of you have, I've played on both dedicated servers and also on Realms. In my honest opinion, Realms is hands down a better option for me personally. I don't want the hassle of dealing with a server. Realms is lag free and simple to use. It would be great for this issue to be resolved asap!
Still happening to me with newest snapshot, also some spawners I had that were working in survival also turned to pigs for some reason.
I am having the same issue running official "release 1.8.1" singleplayer with no mods. It is opened up as a LAN game.
We are using itemframes for our storage chest area; as a result, we have 55+ itemframes up with items in each them.
Well before they started disappearing...
Also, before I forget:
Java 7 Update 67 (build 1.7.0_67-b01)
Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit SP1 (Legit)
AMD FX(tm)-8120
NVIDIA GeForce GTX560Ti
16GB RAM
Well it looks like it was somehow linked to the Nintendo profile. Logged out and back in and fixed..weird
