I’ve had this bug too, when I was in Pocket edition, I opened a flat world and put two villagers in a room to test breeding mechanics. I changed the time to night and they both got into bed, but when they did, they floated rather quickly in opposite directions, yet when I tapped a bed that once held a sleeping villager, I lied down and the little particles that show you’ve woken them up appeared, but no villager. It had vanished.
