This still needs to be fixed, the problems that redstone is only saved in two ways On/Off so when a chunk is loaded the redstone which was on loads as on and off stays off and they stay that way (like mcediting water and lava nothing happens untill block update) anyway I found this happens for all type of redstone including detector rails and needs to be fixed before 1.5 update.
