Well, you kind of just proved my point. "It's community content, and as long as it was not trying to claim endorsement or ownership, they probably wouldn't care."

That is probably what they are trying to do, make it harder for people to attempt to claim endorsement or ownership. You do make a good point, I think they should NOT allow people from changing the title image.

But honestly, not being able to tamper with a company logo just to make it fit your resource pack (which again, to me, is a form of artificially indicating endorsement), seems to be a weird thing to complain about. Personally I (and I guess Mojang's lawyers as well) think that the Mojang logo should be apart from the community's ability override. I mean, not to armchair lawyer, but going "yeah OK, replace our company logo screen that launches with our game, we don't care" opens up legal issues down the road if ever Mojang needs to protect their IP in court.

Insomniac_lemon, most if not all companies do not have separate logos to go with the art style of their games, each logo requires additional legal paperwork to register the logo with the company. Furthermore it is a tad silly to complain that you are not allowed to change the logo, try forcing a public change on any other game that changes the logo will probably get you hit with a cease and desist (for example, posting a texture overhaul for Skyrim on Bethesda's forums where one of the changes overwrites Bethesda's logo will probably get you a call from their lawyers pretty fast). Sorry that you do not like the new logo, but you are coming off as entitled as Mojang has never intended that you would be able to change the logo (hence why this was probably changed), they have only giving you the right to change in game art assets, not company assets.
