I concur. This is a huge multiplayer problem.
I created a separate ticket, but then found this report.
Note: PS4 version also crashes in single player mode too, but less frequently. It seem in multiplayer mode, the bug/error occurs more frequently.
It typically crashes after opening an interface like chests, crafting table, etc. versus all other activities.
