I am also experiencing lag, mainly with held item animations (Food, Crossbows, ect.) Picking up items and mob movement speed being halved. This seems to occur when there are more than 20 villagers in a village with professions

Those are supposed to be rare, I was able to find Ancient debris while exploring under the lava in the nether. Keep looking!
