I believe my issue is related to MCPE-227725, but my device shows an additional and much more severe behavior that I have not found described in the linked reports.
Device:
POCO X4 GT
MediaTek Dimensity 8100
HyperOS 2.0.3.0
Behavior:
Screen recording (or any application using Android MediaProjection) causes Minecraft to freeze after a few seconds.
This occurs:
in the main menu
in any world
with Xiaomi Screen Recorder
XRecorder
Mobizen
WhatsApp screen sharing
Tiktok Live
After Minecraft freezes, the phone itself remains usable for approximately 1–2 minutes.
However, after leaving Minecraft, Android eventually performs a complete watchdog reboot (AP_WDT).
The device fully restarts.
This is not only a Minecraft freeze requiring the game to be restarted.
Investigation:
I generated a complete Android Bugreport immediately after reproducing the issue.
The Bugreport contains:
ANR involving com.mojang.minecraftpe
MediaProjection activity
SurfaceFlinger activity
AP_WDT watchdog reboot
I have attached the Bugreport and I am available to provide additional information if needed.
