I'm having similar issues and it seems tied with other reports as well. I used to play at 120 frames but now when I play its jumping around at 30-50 which isn't bad but there is also block lag, random freezes for a second, and the memory in the top right the F3 screen is peeking out causing my game to crash after a few moments of playing

I just had the same problem but, but I didn't sleep it just started happening as the sun came up and actually continued into mid-day, I was working on a village I found and suddenly a flood of zombies comes pouring in and I watch as they rush the villagers.

I figured it was a bug with zombie sieges, but if you did it in creative without a village then that disproves my theory.

True, but would it be to much to fix the sporadic outputs and keep the pulse.
Both I and and a lot of others that make videos, worked on redstone machines that used this pulse in a new way that cant be reproduced now, mainly with the way it interacted with dispensers.

I agree with Tomas, This was a nice addition to some compact redstone with simple and advanced uses.
