i wont try to reproduce this bug because i dont know what triggers it, if i come across it again ill retain more details and send more feedback. right now im unsure because i didnt know that adventure mode disables block breaking with fist. also my "buged or not" worlds are now fixed because i used chat command to fix the bug or swap to desired game mode

wait, no, i cant confirm that i was swaping to adventure because i wouldve realized the command feedback in chat... also i have to consider that my world got corrupted when this first occured so i think ill have to experience this bug again to confirm more stuff

it seems that i was indeed swaping to adventure mode by mistake, sorry for this hole nonsense, i didnt notice that (my key might register twice for some reason)

can multiple people confirm that harcore mode doesnt allow breaking blocks with fist ? i reinstalled my game from scratch, deleted my files and i can still break blocks in hardcore (java edition)

ok so i think the wiki says i shouldnt be able to break blocks without tools... ill reinstall my game because right now i can break blocks normaly in an adventure world

it is not a server, its my personal world (singleplayer) and the blocks are just disabled, the black outline that appears on the block youre looking at just doesnt exist, it doesnt get selected. trying to punch it doesnt break the block, instead it gives a delay to the punching anymation and shows as if you punch it once and then it stops punching, even if you hold the break block button. this only applyes to survival, swaping to creative allows you to interact with the world

i am not outside world border and i dont know what spawn protection is but the bug occured outside the spawn chunks on one world and i got the same bug on another world within spawn chunks so i dont think it has anything to do with chunks... i expect it to be a glitch when swaping modes that doesnt let you enter that mode fully (however creative mode still allows you to break blocks). it is a relatively rare bug so dont expect to come across it too soon. if noone manages to reproduce it its either my instalation glitched or something else is going on. but again, this is a rare bug and i cant find a way to reproduce it either.

also i found this bug way earlyer, i think around 1.17 versions and later, i just thought to do this report because i didnt see it fixed

also another important note, the first time the bug occured to me, i ended up having to restore my world with a backup because it got corrupted after i left it so it should be pretty important to fix it (it was a world from 2016 tho)
