for clarification, here's the second video, as a follow-up for the issue at hand
then explain to me why is it that I can redirect the output of Minecraft 1.5.2 and not 1.6.2. no environment variables change except for Minecraft. and if this isn't a bug in Minecraft, but in Java then what has Mojang done to cause the trigger?
Also, if you want another video detailing the specific behavior, I.E. 1.5.2 works, 1.6.2 doesn't, I'll be happy to provide one!
why is this marked as a duplicate, and why do you refuse to acknowledge this might be a bug in minecraft? it's not an OpenJDK error as previous versions of minecraft allow me to switch the sound devices just fine, it's just minecraft that fails. please take another look at this and offer guidance as too what might be failing, because I'm unable to find any. until then. farewell
