So I'm having the same problem. Seed doesn't matter. Pre/Post update doesn't matter. It is all loot chests. I have figured out a kinda workaround. (Save and quit the game. Exit game completely. Clear cache for Minecraft. Reopen game and open chest.)I not 100% but had worked most of the time for me. The chest loot definitely needs fixed.
