Hello, I used to have this problem as well, however, I found a way around it but it is slightly tedious, You need to downgrade your launcher to the old launcher, you can look up on google "how to get the legacy launcher in minecraft" and follow a tutorial. After you do this, your versions should work properly. Hope this helps!
