Are they doing anything to try and fix this. Am I going to have to regather all of my tames, cure more zombie villagers for my trade and everything else that this bug took from me? Is there really a point to try and load my save with new pets, mobs, npc's if they could happen again? This bug would really turn you off of playing, especially when you spend that much time on some of this stuff. I don't see where they are trying to fix it. This was posted nearly a month ago. All I see are more people with the same issue, and more recent issues. Like mine, that happened just days ago.
I sure hope there is a fix. This is so so disappointing.

I had a issue a few days ago with all of my npc's, tames and penned mobs disappearing. All of the boats I had docked are gone as well. I remembered after seeing your post, that a few days before I was traveling and had lost my boat somehow. I made a new one. When I got out of it, it was gone. This is a big bug. Apparently spans further than just boats. My villagers that are 1000 + blocks away were fine, just not any at my base. It's completely empty. That included horses that were penned and on lead, cats, wolves, penned mobs, villagers for trade.
