I emphasize that my items fly to the floor, not the ceiling, then disappear. The frame hangs high in a 2-high room.

My items fall to the floor, then disappear. I can only retrieve them by breaking the block the frame is attached to. Then both the frame and item don't fly but just fall to the ground.

Well, I was using a shovel, not a pickaxe. So strictly speaking, it's not MC-1040. That is about pickaxes. Also, my shovel was not near breaking before it disappeared and after it reappeared. So it is not exactly Aarons glitch either.

I don't have any idea how to reproduce it. If it happens again, I'll take a better look at it.

I have a crowded room 2 blocks high with three item frames. Since I updated (I don't think I had a choice) to 1.8 I am not able to retrieve items from these frames, or the frames themselves. They just fly away for three or four blocks when broken, then disappear. In 1.7.10 I could see them falling to the floor, then retrieve them. I regret the release of 1.8 .....
