Hi! I’ve managed to solve this.
Maybe in the new update, they added a new option, that says “Menu Cancel”
It is located in Settings > Keyboard & Mouse > Menu Cancel (In the bottom of the settings).
Probably your game assigned “P” to that option, if you change the key for other, the problem probably is going to be solved.
Hope it works, took me a couple hours to solve it in the game of my younger sister.
