Have you turned the option on in settings?
Settings > General > Video > Below UI Profile > Show Autosave Icon On
I am also having a similar issue when it comes to connecting to xbox live. It gives me the error "error. try again" and I have tried this multiple times. After trying multiple times it repeats this issue.
