Had this happen with a boat yesterday - the entity was clearly still there as I was walking as though I was stuck inside the boat despite being dismounted. I went from afternoon to midnight with how long it took me. Then today, happened with a horse. Thanks @Agonizer for the reload mention, as I thought I lost my horse for good (and they are SUPER rare in my seed...)
