Here's a possible solution: Okay, so I noticed that my server admin would keep switching from creative mode to survival and he would set the servers difficulty from 1 - 3 constantly.
What I decided to do was get the server admin to switch to peaceful, watch the Golems flail at me, kill them. Then I traded with the villagers, went far away to my spawn block, waited 5 minutes, died. Disconnected. Then the server admin reset the difficulty to hard. Logged back on, went back, and they would not attack me.
To test, I attacked a villager by accident, the golem killed me, went back, and they are now no longer hostile despite the fact that I traded with people, so maybe it wasn't a glitch after all. For those of you who had this issue, try what I did to see if that worked lol.

Try switching to peaceful, kill all the Golems, wait a while, and do my steps. Maybe that will fix it.
