I feel this may be because i have previously logged on this world in 1.8?
Jit-Yu Wang would you mind posting a link to that one? I want to see if I can get that one to work.
I've had exactly the same issue, after upgrading to Windows 11. The new launcher (Windows 10.0 2.2.7264) crashes my whole PC when run in Windows 11. I have tried every "fix" I can find - update graphics card drivers, update Java, reinstall Minecraft, repair Windows with both sfc and dism, nothing works. It usually crashes during the 'preparing' stage when launching the game - and it's not a subtle crash either - my PC just dies and restarts completely and suddenly - there are no warnings or errors. And it's ONLY when I run Minecraft, nothing else has caused this issue. I've tried disabling my anti-virus, I've tried removing and adding the firewall rules, absolutely nothing has fixed this issue and it needs to be looked into. I was also only able to launch the game once, and then it would never work again.
