I see, so this is intentional. I can't believe I never stumbled across this until now. 

I'm simply using jellysquids_'s performance mods lithium, sodium, and phosphor, these don't change the way the game behaves, and Vanilla behaves the exact same.  I saw MC-108, but it was marked as resolved. This issue certainly is not resolved
