Exact same problem after factory reset on both ipad (5thGen) & iPad (6thGen). Fresh DL/install of app takes us to the “sign in free” welcome page, lets us login via safari to our microsoft acct, then promptly freezes in mid fade/transition to the “hotfix!” splash screen.
Weird because it was working fine up to about three days ago. Hope this helps!
I found a costly workaround in case this is an option. We currently use Minecraft on Switch, and on iPad. Neither of those would let us download the realm. I was able to use an Xbox One, buy the game (yes a third copy), then log in with our acct and download it there.
The problem seems to certainly revolve around the 2GB system limit & I'm not sure where the 2GB on the switch is being used up but there's no way to actually clear it in a way that will actually work. I hope this is fixed soon, but there's at least one way to roundabout save your worlds.
Having the same problem. Not sure how to re-open this ticket.
We are using Bedrock/Switch/Realms Plus and when we place a balloon, it just sticks to the ground. Same for Ice Bombs, they just stay in place, not moving.
Same problem on ipad 5gen & ipad 6gen even after factory reset on both. 1.14.1 stopped working three days ago. Worked ok until then.
