Tried the work around with two dispenses and still got the same result.

I've taken the second field of the circuit and recorded a new video. Only one click is audible. The results remain the same.
There is a second field (a dirt field) out of frame for another farm on the same circuit. Its dispenser would be the source of the second click in the audio. That field floods and retracts properly.
Video has been added.
Removing the block did solve the problem. Thank you.
Attached below is an image of my current design. The lava blade dispenser is on the left. The egg dispenser is on the right.
I currently have glowstone directly over the dispensers and a half-slab underneath the chickens.
I also recorded a clip of what happens when the cooker is activated.
If I need another half-slab, does it need to go where the glowstone block currently resides or below it?
Thanks.

Check your games everyone! 1.1 was released yesterday. Color should be properly restored with the update in place! I had a pen full of colored sheep when I loaded my game last night.
Ms. G, The final version with the fix has not been released yet. It will come out with the 1.1 version of the Pocket Edition - the upcoming Discovery Update. See the preceding comments above.
It is resolved in a beta edition not available yet on all platforms, hence the (beta) designation. It will resolve when the final version of the update releases.
Thank you. That clarifies things for me!
With the Windows 10 Edition having a different version numbering than the Pocket Edition, my load screen currently says v1.0.8, when will we know we have received the update which addresses this issue?
Noticed the status has changed to "Resolved." I checked this morning and my colored sheep remain white. Will post screen caps later if needed.
This has happened to me as well after the April 27, 2017 update. All sheep appear white. Do not change appearance when dyed, but will drop colored wool when sheered. Single player survival mode, Windows 10 edition
I’ll see if I can replicate the issue tomorrow, but I don’t recall it being a 50%. It happened every time and broke all my piston doors which used sand or gravel. I want to say SilentWhisper captured this bug in one of his Bugrock videos.
