Guys, I know you have a lot to do but this issue affects a lot of people. Can we at least have some confirmation of whether there is any intention to fix this bug?

And in case anyone is actually reading this, the GIF attachments on this duplicate (https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-114685) demonstrate the issue better than the still images on this one.
