As of v1.20.15 Hotfix the light level at Y320 is still broken.
MCPE-174541 is not a duplicate of MCPE-168969. This stated players falling through a block at y255. I was on Y256 and took damage. The MCPE-168969 does not state taking damage. I also fell from Y256 to Y255 only when eating I did not fall through any blocks on Y255. I could stand up without eating on Y256 and not fall through.
My word is doing the same thing and not spawning the captain.
I have set the world to easy logged off and killed the app logged back on set to hard logged off kill the app logged back on set to normal kills the app logged back on. Each time I was logged in for 2h running no captains spawned. I even copied the world and did the same process to see if the updated world was the problem. Still nothing.

This issue just happened to me. v1.21.2 on 8/30/2024
Now I have to kill 21 villagers.
Please fix this.
