Yes.I am, in fact, writing these from my Lenovo tablet (see in Environment). This has a touchscreen but no other input method.

If the controls for a TOUCHscreen are not supposed to appear on the screen in TOUCHscreen mode, then where are they supposed to go? The imaginary keyboard? No. They are supposed to be on the screen or else they would be pointless. Also, the 'second bug' you are referring is part of touchscreen mode not working. .
