I am in the same boat on PS4. After the last update when I turn on Minecraft, I get the red screen with Mojang and then nothing more it just hangs there. It has been two weeks.
I bought the disc a few years ago, there is no visible damage on the disc, and I can't get the combination code l1 l2 r1 r2 options pad to work....
