I am using PE and see Mobs are occasionally invisible. I was killed by one such mob as I could not get away and could not see them in order to fight them off (actually died twice now). It's very frustrating to lose everything due to a game bug. I have had this occur on many occasions but was lucky the others. There is no pattern as to why or when I see this occurring. When it has happened I was not lagging or did not appear to be lagging and in those instances where I fought them off, it was due to seeing the arrows fly at me - so the arrow didn't lag? I also wonder if there is a connection to when I sometimes see animal mobs frozen but they are not actually there. Having said that I have yet to discover any hostile mobs who are frozen.
