Kinda not the portals fault,its the surroundings,it might just be because i move alot when i enter a nether portal. But sometimes if i stand still it still happens,probably because i entered a summoned 1x1 portal block,entered it and thought that the nether portal on the other side (the nether) should also be 1x1 but it isn't.

Sound level not really... much louder than usual,they will do this when they hit a player and can't see them immidiently after or when there fighting and picked up a gold item that they cannot barter with
