My device has the 9.3.6 update and has not lost internet connectivity. I have another device which was 9.3.5 just now and was able to download the 9.3.6 update over WiFi. The report seems exaggerated. This is definitely a bug with the Minecraft app.

Same problem on iPad Mini running iOS 9.3.6. Is there a way to revert to the previous version?
