In my case the crashes don't always occur at the same time (sometimes when loading a world, and sometimes within a world), but they always happen... the longest stretch I've been able to get it is about a minute. It doesn't matter if it's a new world or existing world. In all cases that I've seen, the failures are all due to:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Subtype: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at ...
Things I've tried w/o success:
restarting my phone
upgrading iOS
completely wiping and reinstalling minecraft
Other relevant details:
I was playing minecraft w/o issues on this same device prior to upgrading to 1.9
It doesn't matter whether or not I sign in to xBox live, it crashes either way
I can play multiplayer if I'm not hosting the world. It only seems to crash for worlds on my device
I'm seeing the same issue. Here's a video recording demonstrating the problem, and the two attached .ips files correspond to the crashes you see in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAsFBCuhGl0&feature=youtu.be
