Rob, Thanks so much for commenting on this issue. This doesn't make sense to me though that the blocking is at an ISP level. As presumably, windows 10 client and/or Xbox client would have to connect to AWS as well.
So why would they succeed where the mobile client fails, unless there is some port/protocol difference in the two clients.
This is still unresolved in 1.2.6
I still CANNOT connect from iOS device on 1.2.6, but I CAN from a Windows 10 device on the same wifi network, what is the difference in the network protocol that I am running into?
I also have this issue.
I can connect on Windows 10 machines on WiFi to Realms.
I can not connect to Realms on WiFi on iOS (family has several iOS devices, none work). I have previously been able to connect to Realms.
I can connect to Realms on cellular, and at work on WiFi, so it's definitely some issue with my router/modem/ISP, as I've tried with another cable modem (different location that has same router and overall ISP, but different modem)
I have a NETGEAR Orbi router.
I'm assuming it's some NAT issue at the ISP/Router level. Things that don't work on iOS
Achievements page remains empty/blank
Realms doesn't even attempt to connect, simply says "Cannot connect to Realms right now.", for both owner of Realm or invitee
I tried using the direct invite links, but that didn't work either
iOS is able to sign in to XBox live
iOS is able to join games on LAN
Yes, I do. I continue to have issues with 1.2.1 on iOS.
I can not connect to Realms (or see achievements from within the app). Under the "Worlds" tab it says "We could not connect to Realms right now. We will try again soon."
This occurs when on Wi-Fi, I can connect when on cellular. Yet on the same Wi-Fi network, I can connect fine with the Windows 10 version of Minecraft to Realms.
I have deleted and reinstalled both the Minecraft app and the Xbox app on iOS. iOS is up to date. My router has nothing blocked or restricted, and it works from the same network with Windows 10, so I'm not sure what I'm missing.
1.2.13 still can't connect on iOS on WiFi, but Windows 10 can on same WiFi
Slightly different visual behavior.
Achievements just displays "Fetching Achievements with animated wave"
Clicking "Play" displays an empty dark gray box with no text where realms worlds would normally be listed.
