The issue is that sometimes after teleporting elytra don't activate when hitting space. In my case, using tp commands through chat only seems to cause it sometimes (possibly only if transporting to an unloaded chunk), whereas command blocks seem to cause it more regularly. Even after un-equipping and re-equipping new elytra the problem persists.. The only way to get them to work again is by dying or restarting the game.When playing in a world updated from 1.8, command blocks already there before the update don't seem to cause the issue, but any command block placed in 1.9 seems to cause the issue.
