These solutions worked for the exact same problems for many people.
The other solutions mentioned on here
Update Graphics Card Drivers
If you have NVIDIA apply default settings to the game
If you don't have anti-virus or security software but have Windows Defender, in Windows Defender turn off Private Network Protection under "Firewall & Network Protection"
*What * may * have worked for me, it's far too early to tell, is this.*
Open a terminal as an administrator and type these commands one after another. This will reset your computers WINSOCK, IP4, and IP6 Network. Reboot your computer after entering the following commands.
netsh winsock reset
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
A temporary solution for me was to
Open you're minecraft game folder, often named .minecraft and
Close the launcher and any game instances
Delete these folders. If some don't exist that's fine: assets, bin, libraries, versions, webcache, config, defaultconfigs, usercache.json, usernamecache.json
If you're using forge, you''d need to re-download and re-install it otherwise for official versions let the launcher do that for you.
I often found I got one to two tries successfully everytime before it began messing up.
A thing to note
Sometimes you can keep re-trying to open the world, I found it has a big chance of opening correctly the second time but begins to get more and more difficult to open subsequent times often requiring more continual tries before it just becomes nigh impossible to open.
This is everything I can think of and every solution I could find on the internet related to this exact bug that helped people.
My Experience
Without any changes at all it suddenly stopped working. I didn't install anything, or remove anything, I had Kapersky which has never given me problems for years and I even completely disabled and closed out of it which didn't help, Windows didn't do any updates, I have no idea why it suddenly broke but it just did leaving me a bit stranded.
Suggestion to the Mods
@Galaxy_2Alex May I suggest adding these to the possible resolutions box above, it would probably help future people with this problem.
