It seems to occur mainly in or near lush caves. Exploring around is fine until it tries to load a chunk with a verified lush cave and crashes. I can explore most of the world outside the cave areas. If I load a game I was already in a cave, it instant crashes. If I open a new world and fly around it's fine until I travel to a lush cave chunk, then crashes.
