Okay, after some experimenting, I've found out that it had to do with a few items that I had together. This only affected one of my worlds, which is currently about 150 MB. I removed an enchanted fishing rod, lily pads, a bucket of salmon and a bucket of cod from my inventory into a chest, and the lag as pretty much disappeared. So that's a plus, not sure if it's just a specific problem to my PC since it only has a RAM of 4GB.
