I had this happen on my Xbox running version  1.16.200. I hadn't noticed this bug when running 1.16.100 after many, many hours of gameplay though I did have issues with invisible mobs and mobs freezing like a lot of other people. Lucky me that I finally see this bug on the update! I'm now watching out carefully for invisible chests until this bug gets fixed.

Thank you! I think your search engine could use some changes, as I spent about 2 hours searching to make sure that there wasn't a duplicate. My search began before I realized that there was an invisibility issue, so my search keywords included freeze, crash, and inventory with no success. I also spent a lot of time browsing the bedrock issues that are open, with no success. I do try my best not to duplicate! Thank you for your help!

I found another invisible chest that I'm sure used to be a double chest with the chest next to it.

Okay, just found out something new. The single chest turned out to be a double chest, and half of it was invisible! When I went to break the single chest that started the freeze process, I noticed that the block beside it highlighted an invisible object. I broke the visible side first, and got an empty chest. I then broke the invisible block beside and got a chest with some dirt and gravel. It had been quite a while since I've been to this area and opened that inventory, because normally it has a cat sitting on it. I'll check the other place where I had a freeze and see if there's another invisible chest there.

UPDATE: About five minutes ago Minecraft tried to update, but I kept getting an error stating that the update had cancelled. After repeatedly going to the menu where installs are listed and clicking on resume all, only to have the same error pop up that the update had cancelled, it now finally appears to be updating. Yay!! Hopefully the updates to the Minecraft Store and Events (Beta) (whatever that is) that are in the queue will all update properly, and this problem will be solved.

In conclusion: A couple of days after the official release date for 1.16.200, the update has finally been noticed by my machine and uploaded. Thank you everyone for sticking with me and letting me know that the update was available and that the update provided a fix. I'm looking forward to playing without the glitches, and I'm especially looking forward to playing the big update, whenever that comes out, with lush caves and geodes and all the things.

I do NOT have the latest update and when I go into the update menus on my console it says there are no updates available. I would LOVE to have the latest update but I can't seem to get it. Is it something I have to buy? When will it show up on the Xbox updates menu?

I've been doing some reading and as far as I can tell the update mainly mentions Windows 10. I'm on an Xbox One console. I hope someone can help me figure out if the update has been released for consoles, and when/where/how to get that update.

Anyone else having trouble getting their console to see and load the update? When I go into the Manage Games and Add Ons there are zero updates for Minecraft. It's great that 1.16.200 has fixed the issues I'm seeing, but if I can't load it onto my machine then it's moot.

Thank you, I did discover that I have the outdated version but my Xbox One says that no updates are available. Is there a way to force it to update? I can connect fine to the Marketplace and online for multiplayer but for some reason my Xbox can't see the update. 

Sorry, I did a search and it didn't come up. Anyway, I looked up how to update Minecraft on Xbox One, got to the correct screen, and it says no updates are currently available. So am I stuck?

It appears that someone else has the same or similar issue. I also experienced the invisible mob attacking (the skeleton arrows were visible and appearing much more rapidly than normal, I'm guessing every tick).
