I tried the Nether trick.. did not work for me at all. I have a world about 900mb. It only affects larger worlds, ones I believe between 4 ish 500mb to 900 and above. Not smaller worlds. A fix is hopefully in the works soon, I can try and upload my world for investigation. 

Tried my world again.. no luck, is there going to be an update for this fix? Want to start building on my world with the new update. I haven't even gotten to yet after 1.18 corrupted my world. Still getting the messages "unable to load this world" and "out of storage space" which makes no sense cause I have Plenty on the account and my PS5. And the "corrupted world" message. Sometimes it will load in, but after some playtime I exit, go back in and iy gives me the messages. Other times it will load in and give me those pink and purple blocks.... really sad I hope there's a fix this week. 

Surprised this hasn't been fixed yet... I recieved a new update today and still hasn't been fix. It's such a major issue for people who have had there worlds for so long, I've had mine for 8-9 years! I can't believe a single update ruined it... still have a copy for a hopeful fix, but if it doesn't come I actually might just give up Minecraft, kinda useless to start over after so many years.

Yeah this really sucks, I have an old world that is experiencing this issue and is now saying it's corrupted, it was because of the update and I have had the world since 2014. Or 15. Never had an issue until now, please please have a fix soon. Been waiting for Part 2 for a long time but I can't even play on my world now since it released.

Are there any updates on this issue yet? Can't believe I'm not the only one. Looks like a lot of people are having this issue.
