How is it a feature request and not a bug?
Isnt the block supposed to damage mobs/players standing on it? will that be added in in a later snapshot?
Manually adding the line in and setting the file properties of the .json file to read-only will temporarily make the game launch with a custom resolution but you won't be able to make any changes from within the launcher itself until you uncheck the read-only attribute or delete the file and make a new one.
