Hey everyone, I've been having this same issue but today I managed to fix it. I did a bunch of nonsense but what I believe got it sorted was just running my Java installer again and telling it to install. Maybe my Java installation was broken somehow? Regardless, the game seems to be running fine now, I hope this helps anyone else.
