so it didn't matter what the "minecraft" part was, just the "!" indicating "all but" ?
aha.. so it was admin fault all along for not looking into command structures.

alright will relay the information to him, he's not gonna be happy, but this is resolved and can be deleted/what not

i wish it were a crash, all I get is "internal server error" with no other details to help.

this is why the post was made.

apparently the server had my User ID (UUID) 2 times, 2 different id's. and my player data was stored in 4 places, "player data" "stats" "advancements" and "playercache.json" - in which both Id's were present.

We believe this was causing the conflict and simply delete me entirely off the server. (both UUID's)

Not sure how exactly this occurred, if it's a snapshot issue, or something else.

For now deleting my data seems have allowed me to connect (although without any of my items etc, starting fresh) but it would be a good idea to try to find out if this happened again - and how - so it can be prevented before launch of 1.13 proper. (as some servers have user specific things like controlled housing/mods/etc that relate to the player name/user id)

I noticed this as well, in several YouTube videos they showcase bubble elevators and all use a 3x3 design, with only the middle block being the Magma or Soulsand block to produce the desired effect.

In recent versions, however, a 1 block won't do it. You can get it to work with 2x1, but even then only 1 block is producing the effect, the other is just piggy backing off it.

Oddly enough if you 3x3 the entire area, it checkerboards with the effect to some degree, seeming to take away a previous effect to add the new.

also - if you make water flow off from the block to a side, and downward, some bubbles appear in the 1 block middle. (but not the desired high volume of bubbles to push things up quickly or drag down )
